I would assume reason Moors where dropped was because they would be in same place as Berbers, and White Huns/Hephtalites because they would have to stretch the map further east to get them in.

We have this almost mythical tree, given to us by the otherwise hostile people in the east to symbolize our friendship and give us permission to send caravans through their lands. It could be said to symbolize the wealth and power of our great nation. Cut it down and make me a throne.

Yes...And of course you'd have to add more factions if you went futher east. Its an interesting Idea though. Eurasia Total War.

It’s more then likely just excess baggage that they did not feel the need to get rid of. You can find all sorts off odd little things like that if you have a look round the data folders in games. :)
