Actually it seems like it has been the other way around this timehooligans staged a mass brawl in a wood on the German side of the border![]()
Everyone seems to think hooligans just come from England, i'm glad to see this article as it shows it is clearly not the case. Some of the football battles in Europe have been much worse than some of incidents in England. The worst was the early and mid eighties in Britain and those days of pitched battles on the terraces are long gone.
The first ones were Liverpool fans - they invented the hooliganism, did not they ?
No not really, are you refering to Heysel? Because the juventus ultras were as much to blame as the scousers, add that to a over packed stadium it was an accident waiting to happen.
Hooliganism on a mass scale was at its height in Britain from the mid seventies to the mid eighties to the Heysel disater. Those ten years saw the rise of huge numbers of football firms having at each other everyweek, either on train platforms, tunnels, streets or in the football grounds itself. The West Ham ICF, Millwall Bushwhackers, Chelsea Headhunters, Cardiff City Soul Crew, Birmingham Zulus, Stoke city Norty forty and the Portsmouth 657 crew were probably the most infamous football gangs in Britain during that time.
Those days are long gone now, yeah you get the odd rumble between younger generations and the odd brawl say when there is a rivalry there but never on that scale anymore. When Villa played blues last season there was pitched battles going on outside villa park but the majority of hooligans just want to fight the opposition hooligans and don't want to hurt innocents as most of the fights are pre-arranged using mobile phones and away from police.
They knock the crap out of one another and some have known to buy a drink for the opponent or slap each other on the back afterward. Weird but i'm not condoning it, just telling you the way it is, or what i know of it.
I know Europe have had and still have problems but i only know that its not as bad as it was.

bha! them Germans invade us (sweden) every summer! In search of the exotic Elk!
.... weird.![]()
My first reaction was one of repulsion. But thinking about it a bit more, why not just let them. After all, they're fighting in a forest in the middle of nowhere, they aren't going to hurt any innocent bystanders.Around 100 German and Polish hooligans staged a mass brawl in a wood on the German side of the border on Sunday afternoon, police said on Monday.
A 100-strong German police team stopped and searched 45 Germans who had travelled in 15 cars and a busload of 53 Poles after receiving information about the planned fight near the village of Briesen, 60 kms east of Berlin.
I say lend them all the baseball bats, clubs and knives they want and let them bash each other's skull in...![]()

If someone sets up a camera to capture these events they could make a lot of money.Originally Posted by Zorba

People have filmed several hooligan bouts and you can get them off the internet somewhere. My brother was telling me of seeing a video of a lone pompey hooligan dive into a pack of coventry fans at highfield road who just battered him and you had admire the bravery of the lunatic.
One of my mates sometimes chats with the ex leader of the villa firm who got put away for a 3 stretch for throwing a table at chelsea fans outside a hotel. A nice guy with a good job apparently but in his spare time likes kicking peoples heads in![]()
Ah.... but we're talking germany here... for those hooligans it probably means free healthcare... and THAT means taxpayers fund this.Originally Posted by Louis IV the Fat

Other then that, I'ld probably agree with you.
