Changing Factions In-Game

Hi again-

Looked around and used the search button, but didn't find anything, so I'll ask now.

Is there any way to switch factions in the same game? I would love to play as a weaker faction against the all powerful Scipii and beat them!

first you need to bring up the console ( the ~ button above TAB ) the use the console command 'control' then 'space bar' and then the faction name you wish to control eg. empire_east_rebels

the whole thing will look like this:
control empire_east_rebels

thats it!

note: the faction you previously controled may act docile or irregular for a few turns but this will pass so just wait and see how it all unfolds.
