    Default Ave Socius Romanorum

As the title says: "HAIL FELLOW ROMANS"

I'll put it short: I have returned. And I came to conquer no not the forums, but once again to gain the respect of fellow TW'ers. Forgive me my long absence

Tis been a hard year for me, but I finally managed to sort things out and find more time for my all-time favorite gaming franchise. I rushed to buy the RTW + BI and install it on my machine.

And now... now I'm trying to beat the game as the Scipii (short campaign) so that I can play the faction that I've been waiting to play with great anticipation, the Parthians. Well, i'm quite impressed I must say. The engine is sweeeeeeeeeet. Took me awhile to get used to the right click move command, but everything is OK now.

I've read many wonderful guides presented on this forum and, being STW and MTW veteran, I jumped into my game. I realise I could have enabled all factions via some editing, but I felt that I need to feel the game before I play such a hard faction as Parthians.

Thus, I have this one all-important question to me before I start playing the Parthians:
Does the Parthian shot work in RTW 1.3 ???
If it doesn't, could anyone show me how to make it work with some minor editing?

Once again my greetings to all my Org buddies! I look forward to a fruitful life as the Org member.

    Cheers,
    Revenant69

    PS Weeee....it is my 555th post - that's a lucky number

And hey, welcome back! Glad you've found new time to play the TW series again.

If by "Parthian Shot" you mean horse archers firing on the move, then they're definitely doing that. Poor enemy infantry.

Well, Parthian Shot is all about "shooting to the back", but heck, if horse archers can shoot on the move, then it is good enough for me. Then I am ready to unleash the PArthian war machine, as soon as I finish the short imperial campaign as Scipii.

    Thanks Mouzafphaerre

PS Why oh why did CA not enable "Save replay" feature that was so handy in MTW ?! *looks all puzzled*

Your not the first one to mention this, if we were to make a list with RTW improvements , this would definatly be in the top 3.

    I feel your pain.

It'd be nice, since some of my favourite replays from MTW are unexpected challenges. Perhaps it's something to do with the fact that maps are generated rather than hand-crafted these days.
