Hi All !
I'm going to rent a movie tonight. Does anyone have any recommendations for something insightful ? Genre does not matter as long as it's interesting.
Cheers!![]()

if you are in the mood for a really cool, well done and funny horror movie pick up
"Dog Soldiers"
"If given the choice to be the shepherd or the sheep... be the wolf"
-Josh Homme
"That's the difference between me and the rest of the world! Happiness isn't good enough for me! I demand euphoria!"
- Calvin
Gattaca.
I watched the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory last night and the Umpa Lumpa’s offer some great insight with their songs.![]()

As Somebody Else said, Gattaca's good.
Other options: LA Confidential (thoroughly brilliant), The Butterfly Effect, The Negotiator, Dead Poets Society, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Untouchables (also brilliant). Chances are you've already seen a couple of these, but they're all good at the least.
Any particular atmopsphere you're looking for? Light or serious, entertaining or thoughtprovoking?

Mate try to get a film called Stander with Thomas Jane as a South African bank robber in the 1970's. Pure class
You know, I heard about Stander a while ago and it sounded good. Good job you reminded me to check it out.

"Bandits" with Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thornton is pretty funny, if you're in the mood for something light.
Therapy helps, but screaming obscenities is cheaper.
They beat me to a favorite, GATTACA. Also check Emperor & the Assassin for some intrigue. Princess Mononoke is some fine love-your-ecosystem anime. Swimming Pool is also a great movie.Originally Posted by Sinan

Bourne Identity
Bourne Supremacy
Pretty good movies...
Oh, yeah...
"Oh Brother Where Art Thou?"
Scarface, a personal favorite. Only thing about the 80's that I don't mind.
The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Supremacy are excellent, as Alexanderofmacedon said.
Sinan, which one did you watch in the end?

Awesome. Thanks for all the replies. I watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Sexy Beast (which was an ok love story). I watched Pillow Book a few years ago, excellent one. I think I'll get Gattaca tonight. Movie week-end ! :D
