    Default Intro/Questions

    Hello....

Basically I have a couple of questions so I thought i'd slap an introduction into here as well.

My real name is Simon, I'm British (Leicester to be exact). Basically I own Rome: Total war but my computer did not reach the minimum requirments, however I'm getting a new PC at christmas and still have the discs, cant wait to get playing. I'm pretty sad in that I'm so eager to get going I'm lurking loads of sites and forums collecting information so I get off to a good start :P I've actully been lurking these forums for just underr a week now but now I have some questions I thought perhaps I should finally take some time to register :)

    Questions....

    1. I was just wondering has there been any word on the next in series of Total War? Which periods and such? If no official word what would you guys like to see?
    2. In RTW I am looking to be Julii (lol, i know havnt even played the game but from info i have, they seem best.) I know they are mainly land so the obvious question is are there still many oppurtunities to sack ports? I've been told they are waaaay important trade wise.

Hello and welcome to the .org Sovereign, enjoy yourself here.

    In response to your questions...
    1. As far as I'm aware there has been no official word as to what the next Total War will be, but there are plenty of rumours and speculations regarding it. In the next total war I would personally like to see a "Three Kingdoms" Total War in which you are in command of various factions in Ancient China.
Many members on the forum have discussed what they would like the next Total War title to be and they can be found in this thread: https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=48135.

    2. Being the Julii you will have plenty of experience attacking and blockading ports but that all depends mostly on which route you would like to take. And yes ports are a very vital income as far as trade is concerned. You can also find a lot more information regarding the Julii in this thread: https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=36846.

    Hope this helps,
    - Her0

Well I took a similiar tact and bought MTW, however for an odd reason i can only play battles, not campaigns. Instead of messing about for hours on end attempting to get a game working I knew I'd most likely stop playing in favour of Rome when my PC came at christmas, I decided to sit tight and count down the days until christmas.

Thank you for the suggestion though :)

For a seaborn attack make sure that you build large fleets to help handle the smaller navies that the enemy builds. Generaly it is a good idea to make a few large fleets to control the seas rather then with several tiny ones.

When you blockade a port go ahead and use one or two ship navies for the job and keep your larger fleets as sentries running down on any approaching ships that may have their eyes on your blockades.
