not any weirder than a lone swordsman kicking 60 ashigarus butts.

i think they will at least in multiplay

If those videos were any indication, it looks like it, as one side apparently had Japanese units and Korean Guardsmen together.

You'll probably be able to not only mix nationalities, but time periods as well...it'll be interesting to see thunder bombers tossing their 'grenades' at musketmen. What would be cool would be that there would be, in addition to 'competitive' and 'friendly', also having a 'historical' option, in which the host determines the time frame and teams are restricted to the types available. There are times where somewhat historically accurate battles are fun and there are times where the additional tactics necessary for extraordinary what-if scenarios would be fun.

After all, very few people people ever play with historical Sengoku orders of battle anyway.

since Mongols were small by numbers they used all type of soldiers they could lay their end on, so i would say yes, although morale is lowered (or something)

I think this is best done as the SP/MP. In the campaign, you're using the historical lineups, but in Multiplay, it should be up to the players. You have to admit, it would be interesting having an all-gunpowder army with muskets and thunder-bombers. It would be a great way to simulate the Napoleonic battles some people crave. I can see it now - Clan Bonaparte vs. Gettysburg Clan.....

Listen Legendary_Ninja, I respect Hach a heck of a lot more then you! He usually has good things to say and I believe his question is not clearly answered in other treads. Your post is very negative and I believe if you have nothing good to say, you should just say quiet. If the moderators have a problem with his post, let them take care of it. You also screw up this thread and make me rant here.

So, about mixing units...I hope (pray!) that there would be an historical option to limit the units you can use. I doubt they would implement such an idea so late. Options to decide how you work your game are always good.

I've decided that this is just not worth my time.

Let's keep this thread on topic. Forgive me for screwing it up.

Whats your fucking problem Ninja. Calling soemone a newbie when they ahve been around for a long while when you have been here a few weeks. You are the newbie not him.

I have never had a problem with anyone on this forum before. You complain about being negative when every single post you have made is negative.

    Really what is your problem?

Magyar Kahn's idea was interesting. Allowing mixed troops, but they don't really like each other. Would that be a morale modifier? Looking at their new unit stat, maybe a discipline modifier? Mixed troops tend to distract each other or something. Sort of like the original idea behind the rumored Monk/Christian-Morale Thing that never was firmly established.

    hey waitaminute!
    I'm not fighting with anyone!
f*** that! and f*** you if you think I'm anything but sincerely cuddly!!!!

No, seriously, I am wiping my hands clean of any "dueling" since my main goal (as highest post-count loser) is to set a good example for new people to the .Org so I will most likely just stick to writing helpful information in on-topic threads (and no, my nose did not just get longer after I said that)...at least in between posting allegedly "doctored-up" screenshots to just to keep everyone on their toes

For the record, I meant between LN and TechnoMage. I know that you're above all of these petty verbal encounters, soly.

In one of the other threads (I think ppl gave up on this one) it was mentioned to have a variety of settings: Historical, Balanced, or Everything type of modes. It will probably just be left up to the players in Multiplayer, though. I would prefer the campaign to be "historical," though. Even though muskets vs thunder bombers would be cool, it's really against the concept behind the expansion.
