a mod for plain MTW

All the mods I read about are for MTW VI (or I think they are) . I only have MTW 1.1, are there any good mods for this version?

That's the full listing. I see what looks like a HTW release for 1.1, at least it's not suffixed with VI as the others seem to be.
You're best bet is asking the individual modders, some of them may have older version lieing around on their servers that they don't advertise.

That said you should try and get VI, it adds a whole lot to the game just on it's own and fixes a load of bugs.

Unfortunately there are no discription ( only the name) of the mod and it doesn't say anything about the quality of the mod and the consequences gamewise.

And I know I'll need to buy the VI expansion pack sometime.

I have found 'medmod_IV_1.85.zip' made by WesW and 'Mechstra and Kors Mod' as possible mods.

I have heard of medmod but is it any good ( no offence to the creator of it, I'll never be able to do such a thing)? I want more factions and more units basicly more options and more fun (not just one unit that's added or a flag that's changed).

I played some good mods for Vanilla. Grells first crusade mod was very good, there was a teutonic knight mod and a croatian/serbian mod that were both enjoyable. The best one imo was King Davids Patrician mod which was a very good mod.

The Patrician mod is set in ancient rome and is well worth the download, it was the first mod i ever played and it is one of the best imo, just for the insane battles i have had

Don't get me wrong, I really appriciate the effort but I'm accualy more looking for a MTW with some more factions and some more units.

I really want to play with the Flemmish (I'm from Flandres) and with their units ( the goedendag men or godendac men and badelaar men). I even found a thread about them :

But it would be a bit odd that such a small faction (that was technically french territory) would stand between all those big ones and the Scots and others would not be mentioned.

So for the historic accuracy and my own pleasure (of course), I'm looking for a mod for MTW v1.1 at medeaval times with some more factions and units. If possible with the Flemmish and their units or at least moddable without to much trouble ( as I have no modding experience)

For a mod with more factions and units, first buy VI and then download either the XL mod or BKB supermod. I don't think either of them have the Flemish, though, but you can ask around in the modding forum and possibly add them yourself. Good luck.
