    Default Giving Alemanni horde ability does not work

    Yesterday I tried to give the Alemmanis horde ability. I copied the horde settings from the Franks in Sm_faction and added allemanni under the horde units that the Franks also get in unit.text. However this did not work. What am I doing wrong here. AFAIKT it should work or do you have to create special units for the Alemmani?

    Can you post your actual entry from descr_sm_factions?

    I can see two mistakes in there.
    horde_disband_percent_on_settlement_capture 100horde_unit barb horde chosen swordsmen
    Should be:
    horde_disband_percent_on_settlement_capture 100
    horde_unit barb horde chosen swordsmen
    And:
    horde_unit barb horde chosen swordsmencan_sap yes
    prefers_naval_invasions no
    Should be:
    horde_unit barb horde chosen swordsmen
    can_sap yes
    prefers_naval_invasions no
    Maybe that will fix it.

    I think it was the text format in the post who did those peculiar changes. In the SM faction text it reads as you suggested so that can´t be the problem.

    Did you assign alemanni skin texture for those units in DMB.txt?

    I hate when people reply to posts, plugging their own mods. Someone plug mine here please . You can always use the horde bits in my mod to give the Alemanni hordes and their own horde units and unit cards.

    I am aware of your mod but I have done some own changes that might come into conflict with other modifications.

    I think that professorspatula was suggesting that you can use the bits of his mod relevant to making the Alemanni horde to get yours to work

    Generally speaking, the failure to define a texture in dmb just leads the soldier to use their default texture (or occasionally appear just in white).

    Yep, did that yesterday, hopefully I will see what is missing. On a sidenote, tried to extract the files into RTW but was denied becuase of copy protection. I tried to remove the copy protection but it did not work. Never experienced that before.
