They do work...
Just not in the way intended.the helmets did in fact amplify signals, in certain very specific frequency ranges, by a huge 30dB at 2.6GHz, and by 20dB around 1.5GHz.
There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.

lol, I saw this in a newspaper a little while ago, and have of course heard these hats been mentioned a few times in these forums. When did this tin foil hat hysteria thing start?
