Well, Armed Assault for starters, and OFP2 (not the Codemasters version) if BI manages to get it ready for -06.

Somewhat surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet...Dunegons and Dragons Online anyone? It looks like it will definitely eliminate any farming, though it unfortunately remains to be seen if a MMORPG can last without requiring tedious work (without the farming the game would just be over quickly).

    My list at the moment:

Civilisations Rise and Fall - mercifully rescued by Midway for a 2006 release after their developers went under. More fun with the ancients!

Commandos Strike Force Very tactical WWII squad FPS/RPG mix which is more like Hidden and Dangerous mixed with a bit of COD, but a lot more intelligent than COD!

Company of Heroes - Looks to be the next generation for WWII RTS graphically, but no idea what the gameplay will be like yet.

WWII RTS - If it ever comes out. Likely to be the most historically accurate WWII tank battle RTS of 2006

Battlestations Midway - WWII RTS set in the Pacific theatre. I would get it just for the naval battles which look superb close up.

    In no particular order:
    • Mass Effect
    • Dragon Age (2006 ...? Please!)
    • The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
    • Warhammer: Mark of Chaos
    • Supreme Commander (again: 2006?)
    • Company of Heroes
    • Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends
    That's about it, methinks...

True, i was dissapointed when i saw this too, however there are many excellent modders in the battlefront community so im sure that would be rectified very quickly

    • Star Wars: Empire at War
    • Hitman: Blood Money
    • The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (won't be calling it Morrowind II, not even as a joke; it'll get my head chopped off)

Other interesting titles (year model 2006) may or may not include: Silent Hunter 4, Ghost Recon 3, Splinter Cell 4, Might and Magic: Dark Messiah.

PS, Europa Barbarorum would be totally sweet as well.

I wonder when will Caesar IV be done, the Impression series really left me with an impression, even if the company's long gone.

Otherwise, Oblivion baby! Head forth the save the emperor of Tamriel! (I hope there would be a mod to allow me to be one, kind of like a reverse to the mod to allow me to not be the Nerevarine.)

Of course, we of the Dark Brotherhood have sworn a bloody oath to take the heads of all those who ever utter the word "Morrowind II."

    Oh, and Europa Barbarorum.

    They're overwhelmingly Nintendo games:

    -Metroid Prime: Hunters
-The first new 2d Mario platformer in over a decade
-If the rumors prove true, Zelda DS

Oh, and then there's Twilight Princess, and hopefully, Metroid Prime 3. I'll have to wait until E3 to see if that comes out in 06 or 07 though.

On the PC front, I'm looking forward to Quake Wars, Warhammer and Huxley.

This year is going to be full of buying games...and lots of wasted hours playing them.

    1. HoI: Doomsday
    2. S.T.A.L.K.E.R
    3.Oblivion
    4. Neverwinter Nights 2
    5. Roma Victor
    6. Combat Mission: Campaigns
    7. Unreal 3
    8. Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures
    9.Enemy Territory: Quake Wars
    10. Company of Heroes

    2006 Hopefuls:
    1. Spore
    2. Operation Flashpoint 2 (actually the biggest reason why I want OFP2 is to wait for the Finnish Mod which will cover the Winter War.)

    Hmm...

    - patches and upgrades for Strike Fighter: Project 1 and Mount & Blade

    - Armed Assault

    - Age of Pirates

    - Windows Vista(yes, I am really looking forward to it)

    - Hammer & Sickle

    - Act of War: High Treason

    - maybe Gothic 3

    - maybe War on Terror

and I´m curious what other good games may come out, though I´m not very optimistic, the trend towards arcade is too big IMO.

And it´s about time for a new TW game to be announced I think.
