    Here's another one like him.

Total of -10 morale. I chased him from Egypt to Valencia. At the end he would start running at the first contact with my troops.

If you can stack up the inbred and crazy VnVs, you can make a really craptastic general. We should make this into the worst generals contest.
Fighting isn't about winning, it's about depriving your enemy of all options except to lose.

Those "poor attackers" come up relatively often on the AI side, all it needs is a general trying and failing to attack one of your provinces. I´m not sure whether it requires more than one failed attacking operation, but a pope who attacked my holdings and was beaten got the Poor Attacker vice after his first and only battle.

Gah, thats nothing. My first ever MTW campaign, as Italy fighting Egypt - at first I was on the defensive, holding back the Egyptian hordes in epic defensive stands, then switched over to the offensive and counterattacked taking province by province. Every battle was fought against the Egyptian Kaliph. The last battle I fought against him his total morale penalty from repeated defeats was a whopping -16!! All I had to do to win that battle was advance towards his line and his entire army broke and ran :D

Next turn his sons bumped him off and civil war broke out :)
"I request permanent reassignment to the Gallic frontier. Nay, I demand reassignment. Perhaps it is improper to say so, but I refuse to fight against the Greeks or Macedonians any more. Give my command to another, for I cannot, I will not, lead an army into battle against a civilized nation so long as the Gauls survive. I am not the young man I once was, but I swear before Jupiter Optimus Maximus that I shall see a world without Gauls before I take my final breath."

I try so hard to get enemy kings to rout but I kill them far too often.

Reinvent the British and you get a global finance center, edible food and better service. Reinvent the French and you may just get more Germans.
