    Default Something missing from RTW

This has probably occured to most of you - but one of the things in real life that made the Roman Empire so great was their ability to learn from and absorb foreign cultures.

Another thing about the Romans was the large number of Auxiliaries they used. You can see these types of troops in BI.

Wouldn't it be great (and more realistic) if conquered territories allowed you to recruit "auxiliaries" of that nation's troop types from those areas? I don't think the Romans could train praetorians anywhere they wanted to in real life....maybe something like, you conquer a province, first 10 years, you can't train anything other than maybe town watch or something like that (or as long as there is "unrest" in the province I suppose) and after that you can start making for example, falxmen if you conquered a province in Dacia, horse archers if you conquered a province in Scythia, etc. etc....maybe only with a certain loyalty level could you train Roman style units....or different levels of Roman troops depending on the loyalty level to represent that province's "Romanisation" level....

I believe RTR uses some similar type of recruiting system, I haven't played it yet though.

Sorry if this has been posted before.

Something for the next Total War game?
