How many factions in EB?
Just wondering how many factions EB is planning on having, and more importantly, how many factions will be in the open beta?
Also what will the be the makeup of the "rebel forces", will every province pretty much be owned by one faction (like in vanilla) or will there be a lot of rebel provinces?

There are a lot of rebel provinces. The factions really only have what they had in history, and that leaves a lot spaces in certain areas. But they aren't just generic "rebels", there are unique units that are rebels.

Does EB use the same ERE/WRE rebel factions that BI had? I haven't played BI myself, but reading about the system it seems perfectly cut for the Seleucid and Ptolemaic empires who did have many trouble subduing seperatists because of the sheer sizes of their empires. It would also add some more challenge, because the Seleucid are in a vastly advantagous position due to their many rich provinces.

I believe the problem with that system is that each "rebel" faction requires it's own faction slot, so implementing it unfortunately eats away at the number of of available faction slots very quickly?

EB is not on BI, so no. However, I can tell you (as a Beta Tester) that the Seleukid and Ptolemaic rebels will be a severe problem anyway.

factions? yeah right like there is moddeling going on in the EBH.
Its just khelvan with 20 puppet accounts and few other. The only thing we do in the EBH is finding new ways to torture you.

RTW, 167 BC: Rome expels Greek philosophers after the Lex Fannia law is passed. This bans the effete and nasty Greek practice of 'philosophy' in favour of more manly, properly Roman pursuits that don't involve quite so much thinking.

As I said in that other forum...We can't release it for a couple days, at least, as we're still updating text on the website and we're still putting together the installer with our options. Then as soon as we're sure we've found as many of the campaign-blocking CTDs as we can without mass help, and fixed them if possible, it will be released.
This is basically the hypothetical scenario I discussed in the past. We are now at a point where the campaign is playable, but we still have CTD bugs that crop up occasionally. One has shown up 24 turns into the game or so - does it happen all the time? I'm not sure. But who wants to play a game, even a beta, that might crash, for -every- person, 24 turns into the game?
If you guys can tell me you wouldn't mind getting to test such a version with us, and find the bugs, I'm ok with releasing it. But I suspect that if we did that, every person but those who said "Yes, oh God yes!" here, would complain.

as much scripting as you doing in you mod, im not suprised that you have ctds or it takes you longer to fix them
look at rtr for an example, im just gald you havent set a date.
