Hi all!
After having some trouble getting the game to work (turned out my video card was too old to have the latest NVidia drivers), the thing has been working perfectly - until a couple hours ago.
Here's the deal: I'm playing a HRE Early conquest campaign. I decided to be a nice guy this time and never provoke my Catholic brothers. One of the consequences was having the Danish kindergarten stuck between my continental lands and Scandinavia (which I got from those nice rebel guys).
The Danes are just sitting there, breeding quietly - having nowhere to go. Finally, I got fed up with the Danes and decided to take them out. Off goes my king and to my surprise, a massive French army joins me.
We were met by a horde of RK and several units of vikings.
Since I wasn't going to let the French grab Denmark I waited patiently till the blue army got routed by the masses of Danish RK.
Long story short, the French routed, I then decimated the remaining Danes, and they, too, routed.
Now to the CDT bit: the battle ends normally, I saw the campaign map, got the "province conquered, castle besieged" message. Then I clicked OK and the game crashed.
I reloaded several times and found out that the game only crashes if I fight the Danes, they are defeated and then escape to their castle.
If I don't attack them the game runs fine (they defeat the French and keep their province).
What's causing the crash? Before the offensive, the Danes used to have an infantry garrison in the castle (almost full) and all the RK sitting outside.
Could this happen because the routing army (which included the king) was too big for the castle?
Has anyone experienced this?
