You may be right TS. I read an interview with Rowlings conducted by the admins of two major HP fan sites and they too made the same suggestion regarding the identity of RAB. Rowlings, of course, was as evasive as ever. The only time she seems to step in and comment in a definitive way is when she hears some speculation that is too far off base.

is this about book 6? I seen movies 1, 2 and 3, and read books 3 and 5 but 6 I know nothing about (yet) ..![]()

That is peanuts, now who killed Kennedy?
Maybe due to the fact that she (a) has no idea (b) plans on stretching out the series until hell freezes over.Originally Posted by Gregoshi

Now that I am sort of an adult, I like Harry Potter a whole lot more now then I ever liked Tolkien as a kid. You have to admit that Harry Potter is great, it is all so funny, smart and cute, irresistable stuff. Rowling does a better job of creating an alternate universe then Tolkien ever did if you ask me, because it is so similar to our own, with all the red tape and everyday's trouble of the small man, I love itOriginally Posted by Prodigal

My ears started bleeding after reading the last book. It was that bad.
After reading some George Martin stuff it was like going from (using education as an example here) something you'd get top marks at degree for to something a 14 year old would do for middling marks. It was dire. A whole book waiting for something to happen. Then the super-bad-evil-dangerous people are beaten off by some children. Ooooooh terrifying!
It gets to me every time as well, it always keeps you second guessing huhOriginally Posted by BDC

@Fragony
Yeah fair enough, but cute's a turn off for me.
@Gregoshi
She's really finished the series! Now that I didn't know. I've read a few of them, & I'll admit they're ok as an easy read but they don't really push my buttons.
PS - Shame on you Drisos!
