Thumbs up Byzantium TW Update #3

    Hello Byzantium fans!!!
This is our 3rd and last update of this kind. We will change to full faction previews. Blindfaith and Shogo worked hard to bring you over 40 new units, but here's a selection of the best.

Work done of the campaign map lately, but I prefer to keep it as a surprise for you guys. :)

    Here are the new units.

    Exhoubitoi Tagmata Klibanophoroi

These units are the elite of the Byzantine cavalry, belonging to the proud Exhoubitoi school, being the most powerful school. They are only from Tagmata schools, showing to the world that they are the elite. Covered completely in lamellar armour, they are practically "Immortal" being very hard to kill because of their armour and experience. They are armed with a lance and shield, capable of delivering a thunderous charge, routing from a single charge even heavy infantry.

    Kataphraktoi

Kataphraktoi are the basic heavy cavalry of the Byzantines. Covered also in lamellar armour, but lighter than Klibanophoroi, they can deliver a powerful charge. They will have some trouble with spearmen though, because they aren't that armoured and skilled like the Klibanophoroi. Armed with a bow and sword, they pack a powerful attack at a moderate price for a heavy cavalry unit.

    Hospitaller Foot Knights

Hospitaller Foot Knights are the elite heavy infantry of the renowned Hospitallers. Heavily armoured, they have trouble against the Saracens and Moors because of their heavy equipment and because of the burning desert sun. But at hand to hand combat, they rule the battlefield. Sword and shield are the 2 basic weapons for these elite troops.

    Seldjuq Turcoman Foot Soldiers

Turcoman Foot Soldiers are the basic swordsmen for the Seldjuq's. They are medium armoured but equipped with a powerful sword and with a composite bow, they pack a nasty punch. They can resist to most infantry, but against heavily infantry or even medium cavalry, they can brake easily.

    Seldjuk Spearmen

Seldjuq Speamen are the basic infantry for the Seldjuqs, recruited from the low classes of the Seldjuq society. Seldjuqs are renowned for their light and medium cavalry, infantry being only support and assault troops. They are armed simply, with a 2m long spear and a wooden shield, with leather armour, which doesn't offer much protection.

    (Crusader)Norman Knights

Norman Knights are famed for their bravery and skill in combat. They are medium to heavy cavalry, being heavily armoured but remarkably fast with their horses. They have chain mail armour, kite shield and lance and sword, packing a powerful punch when they charge home. They are at disadvantage against spearmen though, because their horse doesn't have armour, and could be killed easily.

    Hey Edyz,

For the moment, it's for normal BI.

We'll have to update to 1.6 anyways.

    very nice skins!
The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth,
and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, an Age of
Prophecy, the World and Time themselves hang in the balance. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet
    fall under the Shadow

Twice and twice shall he be marked,
Twice to live, and twice to die.
Once the heron, to set his path.
Twice the heron, to name him true.
Once the dragon, for remembrance lost.
Twice the dragon, for the price he must pay.
