Do i need to repack the UI files for the game to use newly created ones? I cant seem to get the game to use them without.

on the packs, you dont need to repack them.

You just rename both UI packs and the game will look for them elsewheres.

You can do this to all packs, except patch_01, is what i found.

You of course need to unpak all the other files within the packs you're renaming and place them in their correct directory within the data folder or the game won't be able to find them at all.

If you have BI, you can just replace the UI files as it doesn't bother with pak files - so if you just want to see what it looks like I'd suggest that. However, if you're making it for a mod to be released then you'll have to repack them.
