    Default Proverb game.

    As we have so many different nationalities over here this should be fun. Post a proverb from your country, first in your native language and then in english. The next poster posts a proverb from his language that means exactly the same, and posts a new one.

    I'll kick off;

    Beter een vogel in de hand dan tien in de lucht.
    One bird in the hand his better then ten in the air.

    A bird in the hand is worth ten in the bush.

    or something like that anyway

    "Lisa, if the Bible has taught us nothing else, and it hasn't, it's that girls should stick to girls sports, such as hot oil wrestling and foxy boxing and such and such." Homer Simpson

    That would be something like "If you make your bed, you lie in it", but I think i like the Dutch version.
