I'd guess to play the mods that haven't updated for 1.3 and up.

So people rather play a buggy(almost broken) game with a dumb AI then a fixed game with less bugs and a better AI because of some pretty skins ??

I am playing 1.2 because 1.3 refuses to start the setup interface on my computer.

Why not patch to 1.5?
Reinstall 1.0, install 1.3, install 1.5, play...

The reason I installed 1.2, was because 1.3 would not install on 1.0. Error 6001.

Thank god I didn't had such problem.
I could not stand playing "outdated" game, especially being force into load/save bug.

I hope you find solution (either for installing 1.3, or downloading 1.2).
