Need Help With Cheats

Okay, so I decided to start a game where I would give myself a little money to start me off, and also turn FOW off so I could have a look around. On that I started out making some quite good armies then I went broke, this was expected as then I would put the cheats in. However when I tried to press ~ the console doesnt come up. Why is this?

By the way, as I wanted Pavatium I had to declare war on Gaul, I thought with money they wouldnt be too much of a problem however they sent a relief force to Pavatium bigger than my own, so I withdrew without fighting to salavage my armies. Problem now is of course I'm at war with Gaul and if they attack my I will not have too much of a chance. I really need the cheats.

Yeah well just thought it might be interesting.

Is there a way to alter the start money via the actual files? This way I'd have all the money I want at the start and cheatintg wouldn't be neccessary.

Go to those silly sods at twcenter.net and ask them.

Go to your RTW folder then open data/world/maps/campaigns/imperial campaign and the open descr_strat and change your starting money there
