Problems with Rome(city)

Okay, i have been having strange CTD's when i try to recruit troops in Rome. Sometimes i can recruit them but it crashes when i try to upgrade existing units. I've unified Rome with the Julii as the faction. apart from that i have not edited the buildings or units. Does anyone know what could be causing this problem? I have found ou tthat this happens in my mod Terrae Expugnanadae, and i would like to fix this for a patch. The game runs fine with the -ai command line, so it only occurs with the human player.
