I still do not see the problem with someone trying to find the truth and seeing things for themselves. The only issue is between him and his parents and that he ditched school.

Well, he ditched school to go to a warzone.... Hmm...

Wow. I would have ditched school to go to Amsterdam (now where's that weed smiley?)

Has bigger 'nads then sense. Should make a decent warzone reporter. Only word of advice I have is that he should have kids early as his life expectancy will be short...
Our genes maybe in the basement but it does not stop us chosing our point of view from the top.

What?!? When I said I agreed with the boy in the other thread I got no support, while DevDave sticks up for him and people flock to support DevDave!

    I feel so unloved...

Why didn't his dad just tell him what it was like on his visit instead of helping him with the visa .
Perhaps the father should have taken a video camera to show his son the sights , then again daddy didn't want to look too much like a tourist in Iraq I suppose , or even worse a journalist

For the second time, DevDave.. Count me out.. I'm straight..

Alexanderofmacedon, in the previous closed thread, I had already mentioned about my support to the kid -though it can be counted a neutrality towards his attitude..

    Anyway, I can't stand a member feeling outside..Oh my..

Tell your friend that if he had invested every single penny he spent for that shirt on his own sense of humor, he'd level up higher than those shirt manufacturers.

I'm not even abroad but already bored (not annoyed) with this joke. Is it really so funny -some cultural difference maybe I'm not getting the idea of over-repeating a joke whatever it is about?
