The Sims 2 is really awsome and I would get it again if I had too. I definately suggest it. I only have the first expansion and it is pretty interesting and a decent add-on. I don't have the second add on but I still havn't gotten the new one because I don't really have enough time to play it right now so I'll wait like I did with the first expansion.

However, I think the second expansion has a lot of promise given that you'll have a downtown area again and you can have restaurants and cars which are things fans have wanted for a while. I don't have it yet so I can't say for sure, but it looks to be the stronger add on.

I suggest you get both but see if you can wait perhaps you can wait for cheaper prices, unless you have enough free time. Get all 3 in a platinum pack or something. That might take a while though.

Sims 2 is awesome, I usually play it to kind of "simulate" my life and my dreams, and if there's stuff that I can't do in the real world I can in Sims

I've not played Sims2 in ages, but my sister recently got re-addicted to it and bought the Night Life expansion, she says it's very good and worth buying.
