    this is a wonderful mod, been playing it for a couple of days now and it really enhances the experience.
    one thing though and I have also asked this in a different forum (don't know where to post). Playing as the ERE, when upgrading the barracks to Comites Barracks; Limitanei, Foederati infantry, and Auxilia Illiricani become unrecruitable... I just want to know from the developer himself if this was done intentionally or is it a bug?

    I think in his previous preview posts, he stated that you have a choice to build Auxilia barracks, or the Legionary ones. Once you have one, you can't train the other types of troops. I haven't played the mod yet, but I'd be interested to know how the AI reacts to this.

    now that you mention it, I remember him saying that somewhere, thanks prof. anyways bug report:
    I tried a custom battle with eastern Equites Sagittarii and CTD. will report this to TWC, too.

    Let me present you third generation of my Late Roman Models


    - Legio Comitatenses Armatus



    - Parthian Zhayedan



    - Equites Clibanarii



    - Auxillia Palatinae




    WRE gameplay guide -

    1) You must leave the whole spain, northern and western gaul and all region in africa besides Hippo Regnum and Carthage
    1a) Destory every barracks and pagan temples in those cities
    1b) Disband all garrisons and evacuate generals from those regions.
    1c) Do not disband comitatenses in your biggest army in Illyria, sent them with their general to the city left to their start position ( sorry, I don't remember names of those cities )
    Leave all other cities in Illyria. But do not disband all other comitatenses besides one unit in Sicilia and units in Italy.

    2) Disband half of your army left, mostly all expensive troops
    2a) Do not disband laegio palatinae in Rome, Most of Auxillia Palatinae and Equites Mauri ( sent equites to Carthage ) - they will be your main forces for a while. Allso, disband all cavalry in Mediolanum besides Equites Dalmatae.

    3) Use money you will gain from destroying buildings to rise 2-3 units of vegilites in each city of southern gaul, Italia, Britania and Hippo regnum. Rise 2-3 saggitarii units in Carthage

    4) With the next turn, you will gain a lot of money, spend all of them on building most expensive buildings in Rome - this will be your money reserve, as most of high -level bulding take long to be bult and you may cancel bulding and take back your money.

    5) So, the rebelion begins. Most of Gaul, and the whole Spain will turn on you. But their armies are consisted only of vegilites!
    The other thing in Neapol and any toher city in Italia - they have armies if comitatenses and auxillia palatinae. use palatinae laegions from rome and heavy units of auxillia palatinae to smash them and besiege all rebeled italian cities. After looting them, you will gain much money.
    6) After this send your palatinae units and Equites Dalmatae to Gaul ( better to transport them by sea ) - WRR army is full of vegilites: palatinae units will just slaughter them.
    7) Soon, they will be loyalist rebelions caused by low buplic order ( that's why you destroyed temples in those cities ) - use loyalist armies to strike Imperia Gallorum from within.
    8) Money gained from looting will allow you to rise new army of comitatenses - because [b]meanwhile alemani tribes will grom wery strong, in my campaign they even captured Mediolanum, but I defeated 2.800 men alemanii army who allso had chosen axeman with 4 units of new-rised legions, 1 cavalry unit and 2 nuits of auxillia palatinae, 700 men overall.
    9) In Carthage hold as lon as posiible against Berbers. They prefer to assault cities rater than take them by siege, so archers will give you strong advantage. If they will fight their way to city, defeat them at plaza wuth equites mauri.

    A bit luck, and WRE will be united once again in 25-30 turns. I played on Hard/Hard, but I reccomend you to play on Medium/Hard

    Indeed a great mod!
    And the units are the best I've seen (Even if Im delighted with the ones that are on Terrae expanded by Lusted).
    Still didnt tried Gersh version, but yours v4.0 patched works as a charm and was already ambushed on the 2nd turn playing as Sassanid by rebels and Ere armies.
    The combats where chalenging and at the right pace to enjoy the remarkable graphic work of Your's.

    I think I've been playing this without v1.6 patch and have had only a few CTD during loading screen for battle when seiging Western Romans as Franks. This may have been the reason. I shall update to v1.6 without further ado.

    Also, those damn Gesithas units (Saxons) are damned hard to beat, I would venture to say the best infantry unit available. I managed to beat them in single combat only with the best heavy cavalry, and only by engaging in repeated charges. Charge and melee and your dog meat.

    Im playing as Sassanid empire and Im having a blast.
    It become increasingly dificult to manage the conquered settlements from Ere. Pus Im always lacking money so I just abandon several cities, let the Ere occupy them, then atack and exterminate the population, storming all religious buildings. That way I mange to control Arminda, Antioque and Tripolis.
    Ere is is on the conterstrike and I had several ambushs on last turns.
    Tonight gonna consolidate My armies, drained from last fights and start manouvering towards Jerusalem.
    I didnt had a single cdt since the start of the campaign.
    Cant wait for the next version.

    I had a different impression of the Sassanids. In my campaign as the franks, saxons and picts they invaded Asia Minor and Egypt very fast and had no problems to hold it. Also, they made Roxolani a protectorate every campaign.
    I modded the diplomacy to have WRE be at war with every barbarian faction from the start, that had some good effects.

    Hi,
    Having a bit of an issue. Rapidshare keeps playing up. It makes me wait for like over an hour, then after the hour is up it says you have already downloaded from here, wait another hour or pay to get premium access.

    The issue is I havn't downloaded anything from them yet, as I havn't been able to. I keep getting forced to wait and that's it. It's like it's trying to force me to pay. Anyone else having this issue? And are you likely to upload them onto any other upload sites? Rapidshare seems to be a nightmare.
