Thread: Campaign Map City Walls?

    Default Campaign Map City Walls?

    I modded my game to give stone walls to the gauls and spain. I got all the building cards and descriptions correct but on the campaign map but I just see the village icon for the city when it has stone walls. How do I get that right?

    You have to modify at least two text files:
    descr_cultures (in RTW 1.5)
    descr_sm_settlements

    You have this type of entry:
    Code:
    	town
    	{
    		normal				data/models_strat/residences/barb_town_buildings.CAS
    		wall				data/models_strat/residences/barb_town_wall_1.CAS
    		wall				data/models_strat/residences/barb_town_wall_2.CAS
    		wall				data/ui/barbarian/cities/barbarian_town.tga
    	}
    You need the inclusion of a third level (stone wall) in town, large_town and city.
    I think it is enough by copying the third level of roman walls (or eastern if you prefer).

    Ah, a pro modder, thanks for the quick response Monkwarrior.

    That worked and took just a minute. One peculiar thing I noticed. In the sm_settlements file the level 3 walls started one level lower on the town level, odd.

    Thats weird, you answered questions that I edited out 20 minutes before you posted. Did you have that running in a window for awhile or does this site take longer to update then it implies.
