Thread: Armoriae event?

    Default Armoriae event?

i have taken armoriae as the casse. So far i have always gotten some message when taking a city with a special buildung. (examples Attuaca or emain macha) I was wondering if i should have gotten somekind of message after taking armoriea since it has . I am not sure if this is a bug or not.

Absolutly awesome mod. Right now i am at 229 BC. The last 20 years i had been fighting to keep my aedui and sweboz allies alive against rome. But the romans are so powerful in my game that it has been really a treat to fight this war for gaul. And then finally most of gaul is again under the rule of the aedui and me (arverni were destroxed by rome) they cheat on me and attack. The Iberians haven taken all of spain and are also marching into gaul with 4 fullstack armies and man would i be glad if they were only sending velites like often posted

I had to make peace with rome to keep the iberians and aedui of my back. So I thought thats what you get for coming to help your celtic cousins. I am still in the midst of defending my self against these new enemies only the sweboz havent betrayed me yet. I sent an army by ship aroud to land in skandinavia and take the long road south into poorly defended roman territory. Mowg my general rallied every merc he could find on his way south and when i finally got to gawjam hattoz the northern most province of rome i broke my ceasefire with them and stormed the gates after that i took vindelicoppidus. I gave both of them to my trustworthy allies the sweboz and now they are strong have taken the fight to rome. I am now trying to fend of the aedui and iberians and make a ceasefire with them so i can hellp my sweoboz allies against rome. And rome knows somewhere in the dark woods of germania there is an army of the isles waiting to strke at it next target.

Sorry to make this post so long but i had to share this with you. This campaign has been going up and down and i often thought i had to abandon the continent but alway just in time i could bring in reinforcements from the isles.

    Thak you very much EB.

No, we don't have a message there...

    yet.

Thanks for the feedback, it's good to hear you're enjoying it!

Ah! the Generals! they are numerous, but not good for much (especially if they're Languorous)!

Yer we'll have to fix that Mal.

Glad your enjoying it galathas. Had my first game the other day. Never actually played Eb before and onyl wanted to take a look at a few things in-game ... suffice to say I got roped in and the year is now 179 BC.

I'm very happy with the way Eb plays for the barbs. Much more realistic. Playing as the Aedui, one epic battle in 243 BC pretty much decided the Gallic civil war and the Arverni were mopped up within a few years. Then the Germans, who had done little til then, suddenly in 230 BC went on a westward rampage. I was flat out trying to assist the allied tribes in Sequallra (gov 2) and the Independent Belgae (rebel) to my north. With huge forces the Germans over-ran the Nevrii in 216 BC and moved onto the Bellovacii. At the point of a sword, I convinced the later to join the Great Gallic Alliance before the Germans arrived…then proceeded to fight a huge war of attrition all up and down the Rhine for the next 17 years.
It’s a classic, I have famous battle sites all down the Rhine as I struggle to fend off the German threat.

Now (180 BC) the Romans have moved into cisalpine Gaul / north, bypassed the Boii and taken Insubramrog from me… little I could do in time. And the Iberians have noticed how weak I am in the south and crossed the Pyrennes and am now threatening Tolosa.

Gotta love this..just need to get all the bits fixed and put in the right models and skins etc.

    "went on a westward rampage."

Germans are famous for these westward rampages... They've done it twice in the last 100 years!

So since your a few years further in the game have you seen new roman troops. I havent even seen the polybian type army. Hastati still dont have any armor and the triarii fight in phalanx formation. And i dread the day they remember how i betrayed them and cut my unarmored botroas with their cohors reformata to pieces.

You have been fighting the germans, did they have as much experience as they did in my game. i had a full stack 2 gold chevrons army march on me yesterday. And these generals bodyguard troops are the gastea of the germeans heavily armored. I lost a complete hired frameaz and two botroas units against them (okay they were gold chevrons!?).

After that i was out of allies the sweboz hab beeen my only remaining allies. The world is full of rats.

lol ..gerries were my ally before they came across the Rhine enmass. Yer those bodygaurds (Gazi..something?) are hell..only thing I've found to stop them is Gaesatae. Set some G loose on them and it scares the shit out of them...watch em run for mummy.

I just started as the Aedui. They and the Sweboz are probably my favourite barbarian factions.

Does the Aedui general still have the base RTW skin? It looks odd; the rest of the unit have nice, muted colours, and the general's sitting on his horse in bright glowing neon green...

I always thought that the actual generals (not their bodyguards) were the only units CA managed to make look good... Apart from their neon-glowingness obviously...
