When archers are trained with a weapons upgrade does this mean there arrows are more effective or just in melee????????

I read the other day that it is just in melee mode that it counts, their arrows remain at the same level...pants!
Pants indeed...
accuracy is only affected by valour increases.... attack bonuses only improve their attack in melee and armour for defense
edit: spelling errors
Indeed....more pants
Valour increases accuracy? You sure?Originally Posted by scozzy99

That's what I've heard over and over. Is it not confirmed by CA?

It only becomes noticable over 4 valour.

Yes. However, the increase is rather small and is a set percentage for all units, so units with low base-accuracy (artillery and gunpowder troops) benefit more than units with high base-accuracy (archers and croswbows). This also means that beyond a certain point the increase becomes negligable. In game terms: V3 arbalesters don't perform noticably better than V0 arbalesters, but V3 arquebusiers do more damage than V0 ones. However, there is probably no difference between V6 and V9 arquebusiers. (I am just talking of missile performace here, off course higher valour always helps with melee and morale.)Originally Posted by Beirut
