I need a Phalanx unit

is there a way I could make Libyan Spearmen, Phoeni Infantry, Elephants, War Elephants, and Armoured Elephants recruitable by the roman factions? the reason I ask is the romans don't have a single phalanx unit and I sure could use at least one for the kind of trouble I get myself into, plus the Phoeni Infantry/Libyan spearmen wouldn't look that much out of place in the roman factions because, quite frankly except for the weapon. they look like Hastati! (also I love seeing the enemies just flying all over the place when an elephant starts wreaking havoc)
