The First console we ever had was my dad's Atari 7800 that he bought during the seventies. Then when I was about 3 we got an NES, I was sooo jacked about it, and my older brother nearly had fainted from excitement.

Atari 2600, then NES, then PC. Never been back to console since.
N64, it was a great system, I wasted many fun hours on that.![]()
Good old Genesis for me. I remember it coming with Sonic 2. I was addicted to that game, needless to say.![]()

Gah!!! Where is Intellivision on the list!? That was my first console and it blew anything Atari had at the time out of the water. It had better graphics than Atari, it had some games with speech(!), and its controller had a numeric keypad which allowed for much more versatility in games than the Ataris.

Oopsie, um well, I know I must have missed some, I'm gonna see if I can change it.

Atari 2600, and loved every minute of it. Next came a C64 which used 5 1/2 inch floppy disks and had no hard drive, which might as well be called a console, because it couldn't do squat as a computer (Who else remembers Load "*",8,1?). It had some awesome games at the time, though, and I'd like to browse the net and find some of them that will run on my current P.C.
I've never gone back to consoles since. I always preferred the more in-depth strategy or flight simulator-type games that were only available on the PC until very recently.
Our Atari 2600 had a keypad which plugged into the 2nd joystick port. It had a removable soft cover that went over the buttons so that their function labels could be modified for different games. It only worked with one game that we had. It was kind of a first person spaceship flying game, and the touchpad was used to select different views like navigation screens and the actual flying/combat screen. I wish I could remember what that game was called, because I loved it back when I was about 10.Originally Posted by Gregoshi

Atari 2600
The games are mostly crap by today's standards in gameplay, but back then, they were to die for. I also had a Coleco Vision, and I still have fond memories (read: nightmares) of that damn chessboard room in Dragons Lair >_<

What my c 64 came with was A book.
Youd sit there typing out Lines of code for literaly hours.
cos the description in the book said that the program you would create with it was "FUN"
Well after about 4 hours of typing.
And Re checking all the text for mistake's Youd hit enter.
And the only thing all that Text you wrote did was make a damn turtle walk on the screen and draw a line behind him
GAH!!
So i bought a tape deck and some games...
youd stick a 60 min tape in the thing.
Watch the screen turn all sorts of blotchy colours for a while, Then decide il go make a coffe.
Guaranted when I got back Would be a message saying.
"Data error please rewind tape and press any key"
GAAAA!!!!!
Well Eventualy I got some games to work.
And i loved the c64 really i did,
It had DIZZY "Cant beat Dizzy for a game about an egg"
It had Masses of text based rpg's
It also had a seemingly Endless suply of Platformers.
Some 2 player...
Although geting 2 controllers to work on the c64 at the same time for 2 player's Ended up being near to if not totaly impossible.
Ahh They dont make em Like they used to
"I THANK MY LUCKY STARS!"
First one was Sega master system.
Man that was sweet.
Best game I had was the Wonder boy series.
Then I got Sega mega drive and that was even more sweet.
But then we traded it for the SNES and then PC.
Still SNES was the best.
Edit: Decided it was too far off topic. Sorry 'bout that.

S.N.E.S. was the first and only console I have (or need).
First console was the supernintendo.
After that came the N64 - with which I've wasted countless Hours upon.
