Cronulla Rioter Refused Bail, Cries in Court

HE IS alleged to have been the leader of an angry mob as they chased their victim through the streets of Cronulla before bashing him and a police officer.

But when the law finally caught up with George James Radford yesterday, the 21-year-old sat crying in the dock of Parramatta Bail Court.

So big and tough when he outnumbered the people he was bashing. Little turd of a bully.

The mob is alleged to have circled Mr Merhi before Senior Constable Gary Smith came to his aid. Police allege this did not stop Mr Radford or the crowd from assaulting the pair.

"The accused is seen to be directly involved in this riot and affray to the point where he has to be restrained by other members of the crowd," police alleged in a document tendered to the court.

"The group beat Merhi about his head primarily with their fists clenched. The accused was at the front of the group during this time," police alleged.

The court heard Sen-Constable Smith was forced to use capsicum spray on Mr Radford "in an attempt to stop the accused and others from physically pulling Merhi" from his grasp.

Police allege Mr Radford was "extremely agitated and his behaviour was deemed to be extremely hostile towards Smith and Merhi at this time".

Attacking a police officer, hence I would say that is the primary reason for refusing bail.

Despite his father offering to post the title deeds of his $320,000 investment unit as surety, Mr Radford was refused bail and ordered to face Sutherland Local Court on February 16.

A visibly upset Mr Radford buried his head in his hands and sobbed as his sister also broke down in court.

Silly question. The amazing thing is that the police arrested so few on either side of the conflict. The first Lebanese arrested was the 18-year-old who attacked the lifeguard on Sunday 4 December. Others followed during the Lebanese 'night raids' in the course of the week. On the first night alone five Lebanese were arrested and charged. Or what do you think this looks like?

Cliché warning: Two wrongs never make a right. Preemption is only useful if the threat is imminent. I don't see a difference between an angry mob attacking someone who may possibly do something bad in the future and the man that preemptively killed his daughters in Pakistan. If the police doesn't make themselve useful, ya. If they hadn't looked the other way when gangs were assaulting whites for being white this would never have happened. I am sure they will keep their heads down for a while in Australia, and that is a good thing; fear is the only remedy for violent cultures.

They don't behave because they don't have to, they know they will get away with everything they do because nobody acts. Multiculture is big business for those involved, if you are part of the problem you may as well keep it that way because there is always a nice job at some commision. Coupled with the carrotmuncher that likes to excuse them and blaim society instead(yay more commisions), without ever giving thought about immigrants that have been succesful members of our society's as long as they have been here. Just a way of creating jobs a la Russia, no less then 150 people responsible for keeping the red square nice and shiny. If 'it' is the same everywhere, then 'they' must be the same everywhere.
