    Default Pontus Crash 243

    I get a crash playing long campaign with Pontus at the end of every 243.

    Don't normally post, but thought I would mention this.

    Other notes/thoughts:

    1. Load and AI time is very slow (I know you guys are working on it).

    2. Pontus starts with a fleet but no means to disband (I believe this has been noted), so I recommend removing the fleet or allowing for a port.

    Make a save of that campaign. First and foremost.

    Then try to change everything you did during that turn, and see if it still crashes. If it stops crashing, try and eliminate each thing as the cause of the CTD.

    If it still crashes, then turn off the "fog of war" (open the console "\", and type "toggle_fow") and figure out where in the AI turn does the game crash.

    If you still can't figure out when/why it crashes, just send it to our Bug guys.





    BTW, the rest of the stuff is already noted. Also, you might want to post future permanent CTD's at the bug forum.

    Just re-run the game without a script. Turn the script on, on the turn after. Works every time for me. I got to 195 BC before I gave up my campaign with the Romans.

    I bankrupt myself trying to block Iberia's ports, they stormed me with 5 fully stacked armies, I could not muster a force together in time, the end.

    Hehe... Blockading ports is worthless... The AI is given 30,000 Minai every turn through scripting.

    One thing I don't understand is how bad computers you have. I tried EB on a 1.8 Ghz and that went slow, but on my 2.8/512 it goes just as fast as vanilla (if not faster after I learned the high-priority trick)

    I don't understand how you're comp pulls that off. I have a 2.2 with 1024 mb and a new geforce 6600 gt 128mb and EB goes very slow. So is RTR only R:TW is quick. Even with the high priority trick. (which doesn't really work wonders for me). Maybe its the mem.leak? Or is that another patch?

    Its just how Rome handles your graphics card really. It used to run great on my PC but the 1.2 patch and afterwards gave me constant crashes, lucky if I get through 4 or so turns. AI doesn't get to do all that much thanks to the siege bug...
