Is their anyway to capture certain parts of a battle in R: TW and make it playable in let's say WMP?
It'd be just too great to make a movie about a nasty Carthage Roman battle..
Thanks.

"Cry, the beloved country, for the unborn child that is the inheritor of our fear. Let him not love the earth too deeply. Let him not laugh too gladly when the water runs through his fingers, nor stand too silent when the setting sun makes red the veld with fire. Let him not be moved when the birds of his land are singing, nor give too much of his heart to a mountain or a valley. For fear will rob him of all if he gives too much."

You need to get a program like FRAPS but you must pay for a full version of that, but there is some cool free ones roaming about just google for them.

Say no to multi-culturalism.
I meant through the game itself.

FRAPS "films" whats happening in your game, isn't that what you wanted?
Just google for a freeware program that does the same (There are plenty)
EDIT: You need a third-party program to do that, you can't do it with JUST the game
I suppose he´s looking for a replay function as in MTW. Sorry, no, there´s none in the campaign anymore. Only in the "staged" custom battles. Why they took it out from where the most interesting battles happen is beyond me![]()
Well custom battles and I think multiplayer games can have replays of the battle saved. There is a built-in movie editing mode that enables you to edit the replay, and then convert it into pictures and sounds that can then be used in another piece of software to convert it into a movie that can be played in Windows Media Player. It's a fairly complicated affair though. This is a guide about it from the official Totalwar site: http://download.activision.com/totalwar/editor_docs.zip
It's easier to use something like Fraps and Windows Movie Maker if you want a simple movie though.
