Here's an interesting video: Link

Apparently, a bank robber who got trapped inside a bank whilst robbing it and then took hostages, negotiated with the police to give him a motorcycle to escape on.

What's really interesting is what happens after that.

This leads me to my first question: how could anyone be so stupid as to think they could get away from a hundred police, with cars and helicopters? How would he know if the tank had more than 1/2 gallon of gas? Why didn't he negotiate for a bus, or a car he could take his hostages with?
I assume that he must have just been desperate, especially after 12 hours.

And why didn't the police snipe him as soon as he walked out the door? Perhaps they wanted him alive, and didn't want the hostages to be in danger.

In the end, I think its a good reminder to watch the road.
