    Question cival war

    just wondering is there anyway to have a cival war with rome apart from gaining popularity with the plebs im playing rome total war with the bi patch ?

    Yes, if you lose popularity with the Senate to the extent that they demand that your faction leader commit suicide, and you refuse - wham, civil war.

    In BI there's no Senate so I guess you mean a Western Empire v Eastern Empire showdown. There are no restrictions on this AFAIK so you can just lay into your erstwhile chums whenever the mood takes you. Of course, they can also do it to you...

    Also, to start a civil war early you only need to try to assassinate another Roman faction's family member and, if your assassin is caught, wham.

    However, from my memories I did not think you could move into Rome by then, despite the war starting, not until you're popular with the plebs, I guess. Not for sure, though.

    In the BI campaign you treat a fellow Roman faction like any other: do what you will.
