Well, The Prima Guide was pretty popular when S:TW was published. We have 144 pages of Sword Dojo content you can peruse, here
    https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/forum...c&daysprune=-1
(note: you may need to drop down to the bottom of that page, to "Display Options" & select "From the Beginning", so you get all the threads from Oct 2000, onward.)
Be well. Do good. Keep in touch.

Neo, sooner or later you're going to realize just as I did that there's a difference between knowing the path and walking the path.

Should Help you with Unit choices if you Are going to come play STW-Mp with us :)

If you wish to play Multi Player....
You will need to configure your game a little as EA Shut down there server a while ago.
now we only have Fan based fakeserver's

Its probable That there are many of these set up,
But As far as i know,
    most play on my server....

Check the Sticky named "STW PROBS? READ HERE 1ST"
It is in the STW MP Section of this forum,

    Hope this helps :)

To Just a Girl - Wow!!!! Thanks for the link to the Unit guide....how long did it take to put that together?

I've been reading some of your posts (and others too of course)....been amazed at the technical knowhow a lot of you have about TW.....a question though.....when people talk about "testing" and they come up with stats...how do they do it?

Thanks also for the invite to play online......I've never done it before. I've only got boring old dial-up connection....is that enough or do I have to have broadband?

Anyway thanks again...and I'll check out that thread you suggested also

Well bearing in mind the age of stw.
Dial up should allow you to play. (its not like its half life 2)

And i know how some people who play online games are. they can be nasty and vendictive to a person just becous they slowed the game a Little.
BUT dont worry about that.. most of the people left in the stw community (Isnt that many) Are a freindly bunch. So you wouldnt get insulted about your connection speed. (well not malishiously with intent to hurt any way)

    As for testing.
im not sure what you mean but..
if you mean how did some people find out, the diferent effects of weather and stuff on diferent units excetera.
We usualy do tests in game.

Lan is a fave as you dont need people online who are willing to come help.
but Single player custom battles are also used.
You can Also edit/Modify STW quite easily with little to no knowlage of hex.
So you can easily set one unit's moovment speeed to 0,
and give the AI that unit.
That way the Ai wont rout or be able to attack you or Simillar. Whilst your doing your test(s).

As for the page unit stats page.
    It took a few hours.
id say more than 1 less than 4.
hard to tell really though. as to make the thing work properly from my web page I had to edit all the other pages to add a link For the unit stats page,
    and that also took time.

Any way Im glad you may get use of it,

    P.S

Did it take very long to open?

it has Quite a lot of data on it for people on dial up.

    P.S.S

Thers also a tech tree page ive made.
    that took longer :)

Thanks.....I'm having a great time...heaps of info...and I really like the sense of community with TW people around the world.

Your link didn't take too long too open.....I was reading within 15secs ...but still some graphics opening as I went.

Bit of a bummer that my copy of Shogun didn't arrive today....maybe tomorrow!!
