That battle really brought my PC to the edge - even with all details as low as possible.
It was still kinda funny, despite the lagging.
(my general didn`t even get a star for that)

good effort, take it the general and heavy horse did most of the work there then?
That is... awesome. Really! I now wish my PC could handle huge settings. Good work! And yes I hate it how BI generals almost never gain stars.

If the gain a few stars they will gain more stars more quickly, I think.Originally Posted by Drusus Magnus
At least it happened in my Saxon campaign. And I think they only get them in field battles.

Tolle Schlacht! Sehr gute Arbeit.
I may be wrong, but I got the impression that you can earn good traits and stars more easy when playing the Sassanids than the Roman fractions. In my experience Barbarian generals have to do the hardest work for any good gift.

I was actually attacted by 4(!) hordes armies while defending a city with wooden wall.
My tactic was to close off all siades of the square and I had 6 units of archers in the centre, 2 generals, 1 light cav, rest were light and heavy cohortes. The actually breached the walls on 4 sides, I had about 2 units per opening vs the square and one in reserve to breachs gaps.
I was actually going to see how many I was going to take in my grave with me but in the end I won and only lost 1 general.
What suprised me was the fact that I actually didnt kill so many of the foe's, about 4600 and that yet they still all armies fled the fight..
was a wonderful fight though.... :-)
didnt get a star for the/this heroic victory....
carpe noctum (and their women!)
Wow. I didn't know they made a German version of this game.
But I might be lying.
'Schlachtresultate' sounds so much better than 'battle results'...Originally Posted by Mamba

Nearly every game gets localized...no big deal.
Anyways, the Cav including the general did roughly half the killing, the rest was done be infantry. My first line of defense was pushed back from the tree in the middle of the picture all the way to the flag, killing huns all the time.
I really like how pushing works now.
Can I ask you one thing, how did you get them to assault?? It's really too foolish to assault with a HA army, what an A.I.
"Cry, the beloved country, for the unborn child that is the inheritor of our fear. Let him not love the earth too deeply. Let him not laugh too gladly when the water runs through his fingers, nor stand too silent when the setting sun makes red the veld with fire. Let him not be moved when the birds of his land are singing, nor give too much of his heart to a mountain or a valley. For fear will rob him of all if he gives too much."

Very nice picture of a great battle. But this shows how weak CA made the Huns. May I ask what setting you use? Very Hard?
