during the alexander invension on india in imdus valy there were various skiled archers, horsemen, charioters,& most fearsome elephent. In the war porus(indian king) almost defet alexander. At that time there were Magdha fraction which is the strongest in india that time having around 200000 toops consist of sowardman, archers, horsmen, charioters,&battle elephent-the force called as chaturang dal.also one best unit which called jungle archars called as Bhillas best ambusher.U will get many different units in indus valy & beyound
The thing about those longbowmen is that they have more men/unit than other archers. With unit size set to Huge, a max strength Indian Longbows unit has 200 men. This makes them more effective at archery than another unit with same missile attack value would be, and it also makes them better at garrisoning cities.
The problem is that there can only be a limited number of factions in the game, and historically, the Indians did not stir beyond India. An Indian king would most likely first try to secure the rest of India, which is of the map. So, in order to accuratly represent this faction, the map needs to be extended east.Originally Posted by aarya
This is basically the same debate we had about the Yeuzhi.
So, given that they historically did not expand, and that the map does not include their obvious target of expansion, it is unlikely that they will be included a faction.

Since no one else has mentioned it; we were also planning a chariot unit for the original Indian rebels.
"It is an error to divide people into the living and the dead: there are people who are dead-alive, and people who are alive_alive. The dead-alive also write, walk, speak, atc. But they make no mistakes; only machines make no mistakes, and they produce only dead things. The alive-alive are constantly in error, in search, in questions, in torment." - Yevgeny Zamyatin
