    Default The dreaded assassin

I've started playing BI, and am patched up to 1.6.

Playing as the Alemani, I've had some trouble with (what I think to be Roman) assassins.

My faction leader, my heir, and a couple generals have already been killed by an assassin. (I think it's the same one.) Now I've finally killed a few of them, but I'm wondering:

    1. Does grouping spies with Leaders (either in the same army, or same city, if he's managing, etc.) protect them?

    2. Does grouping assassins with Leaders (same scenarios) protect them?

    3. Anything else I should be doing?

These deaths all came within a couple years of each other, so caused me some concern.

Grouping them with spies should help. Keeping them in cities helps too, I think. Even a high level assassin should have trouble entering a city with a spy.

Oh, and counter-assassination is also useful. Assassins are the easiest victims of assassination.

You need to see the git first, though. Spies help in that too.

I and many others around the world are of the strong belief that the universe was created by a Flying Spaghetti Monster. --- Proof of the existence of the FSM, if needed, can be found in the recent uptick of global warming, earthquakes, hurricanes, and other natural disasters. Apparently His Pastaness is to be worshipped in full pirate regalia. The decline in worldwide pirate population over the past 200 years directly corresponds with the increase in global temperature. Here is a graph to illustrate the point."

I personally don't use assasins, just spies. I propably have only one assasin at a time.

Both 1 and 2 I believe decrease the chances of asassination, although I believe spies decrease the chances better(I could be wrong there). Also for balance reasons the spies may work on a bell curve the first one will drastically reduce the chance of asassination while the fifth may make very little difference.

Anyways since the subject is up. Spies can only detect asassins within a certain distance of thier subterfuge from my knowledge, does this seem right to anyone else.
