    Exclamation Remaking history

I am doing a school project and trying to do a production plan for an
    encyclopedia about history

Idea was to remake important historic battles in Rome:Total War engine just like "Time Commanders" or "Decisive Battles"

Would you know how much people I need and what time would they need, to remake
about 10 historic battles of antic era. Also how much are you usually paid to do such jobs.

Also If they were to make Middle Ages, so it means almost all new models and buildings, how much would that take?

It is just a production plan I need to know the costs and time needed to do the job, it probably won't ever be done.

    Thank you

well, i may have got you wrong, but with the 1.2 patch and a command lime extension -enable_editor and -movie_cam, you can create your own custom battles, and with the movie cam then make a movie from it.

It of cource may need your own units to make it look good, but even something like windows movie maker could import the movie clips from teh battle and you could save it into a good little movie

It depends on how fast you want them done. You could easily do all 10 battles without scripting in a few days by yourself. Add scripting and then you're looking at roughly 1-3 weeks (you'd have to test them quite a bit). Rough estimation though, there are alot of things that could change this.

If you wanted more people because you wanted to get it done faster or you don't have scripting skills you probably only need 3 people (1 person who sets up the battle, 1 who scripts and 1 extra tester).

In terms of RTW modding, nothing.

Depends on how determined you and your team are. Chivalry's been going for over a year, but I say that a small close (as in geographically) team could do just the unit models and buildings in about 4-5 months.
