Default Chinese hack parliament and US military

    http://technology.guardian.co.uk/wee...689093,00.html

At last, cyber-war! Welcome to the 21st century. In a nutshell, chinese government hackers (probably) are trying to infitrate western government computer systems to steal information. With some successes it seems.

Can anything be done about this? If so, what? Is this just the behaviour of a superpower on the make (the historically inclined might remember that American law used to pay next to no protection to intellectual property protection while she was playing catch up, is this simply the modern equivalent?)

"Old" news but good news. China has turned into a nation of thieves trying desperately to catch up to the rest of the world. If it's not the government doing the hacking it's hackers routing through China's primitive information infrastructure.

Reinvent the British and you get a global finance center, edible food and better service. Reinvent the French and you may just get more Germans.

The black hats have been doing this for a long time..

There has always been the threat of Hacks in to gfoverment systems, And It has Never been said that it was the Goverment who was doing it,

IIRC there were a group of young asian males who would hack in to American or easten web pages who they did not like and whould replace them with there own pages,

They were eventualy caught, and were sentanced to Helping the govermen with there internet securaty,
and to use there hacking skills to tack down other hackers,

the us goverment feard these young men as they could not do a thing about them.
    As far as i know,
The black hats stoped harrasing goverments.

What, why ? It's not like hackers of that caliber are going to have any trouble vacuuming all the pr0n they'll ever need if they feel like it, now are they ?

"Let us remember that there are multiple theories of Intelligent Design. I and many others around the world are of the strong belief that the universe was created by a Flying Spaghetti Monster. --- Proof of the existence of the FSM, if needed, can be found in the recent uptick of global warming, earthquakes, hurricanes, and other natural disasters. Apparently His Pastaness is to be worshipped in full pirate regalia. The decline in worldwide pirate population over the past 200 years directly corresponds with the increase in global temperature. Here is a graph to illustrate the point."

Actually pr0n will distract the hackers.

There, but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford

My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.
