    Default Unit Movement

Dont know if this was covered and if it was Im sorry but:
Does it seem like in some areas you can march huge amounts, but in other areas your men are forced to a crawl? Is this a bug or was it designed to be this way because of terrain/whatever?
By the way, this is without any penalties against movement or bonuses to movement.

There is restricted movement based on the season. Summer in desert areas and winter in most others. That might be what you are experiencing.

I can understand the different climates but its odd how it can take 3 turns to march all of italy, but greece can be journeyed in 2

If your trudging through 4ft of snow, you could hypothetically spend 30 turns getting through Italy.

..and I think some generals travel further than others given their traits.

Yes, check your Generals traits at any time. If you have marched him for a couple turns straight, he will have the Forced Marching trait, which limits movement by 10%. Also, a general can be in Under the Wheather, which restricts movement even more. Mostly likely you are just experiencing season restrictions. Just because it is summer does not mean movement will not be restricted. As it says under a General's traits, if it is summer, movement restrictions will occur in arid regions.

The "Under the Wheather" trait can get worse though I think.

If you don't let them rest a bit it'll change to "Tired" then "Exhausted" and finally "On His Deathbed"

The first time I noticed the "On His Deathbed" trait I was like WTF??
