    Default Australia Day

    Aussie Aussie Aussie
    Oi Oi Oi.

Saw a toilet at Manly beach the other day missing the T... spelling oilet... very Aussie.

Australia Day here at the moment. Got up at 5:30am went down to the park to see the hot air ballons take off.

Watched the news and saw that the Australia of the Year is a scientist... much better then chosing another sportsman.

PROFESSOR Ian Frazer, named Australian of the Year last night, may not be a household name but he should be - he has found a vaccine for cancer.

Professor Frazer has pioneered a vaccine for the human papilloma virus - which causes cervical cancer - a breakthrough that could wipe out the cancer.
Cervical cancer is the No.2 cancer among women, with 500,000 new cases diagnosed worldwide each year.

Australia has about 700 cases of cervical cancer diagnosed every year and about 270 deaths from the disease.
Our genes maybe in the basement but it does not stop us chosing our point of view from the top.

Have a tinny or two mate...good 'un.
There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.

I was thinking: "Wait a minute, Ozzie Day is the 26th; he's a day early!".

Then realized: "Oh yeah...Int'l Date Line." "Du-uh".

    Hope it is (was?) happy!

Be well. Do good. Keep in touch.

    Good 'ol Aus....

    Now about British Day...
    joking
    When I was a child
    I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye.
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
    The child is grown,
    The dream is gone.
    I have become comfortably numb...
