Question A good messenger (other than Yahoo or MSN)?

I need a messenger compatible with both Yahoo and MSN, while supporting voice and cam...
Browsing the net, I came across Trillian 3.1, is anyone familiar with it? Any other suggestions?

Trillian is the mostly widely used 'multi messenger'. Lots of people use it, probably your best bet.

I use GAIM, it's multi-functional - and is line for a big update sometime in the near future (I hope). Plus, it's free, whereas Trillian Pro isn't (or at least, wasn't last time I used Trillian)
Don't have any aspirations - they're doomed to fail.

    Rumours...

Basic Trillian is free, but I hear that it sucks too much bandwidth...

Gaim users can log in to multiple accounts on multiple IM networks simultaneously. This means that you can be chatting with friends on AOL Instant Messenger, talking to a friend on Yahoo Messenger, and sitting in an IRC channel all at the same time.
This sounds cool, does Trillan has this feature?

Here are two other free multi-platform instant messenger programs I've found. I had experienced both. However I don't remeber about my experiences about them nor do I remember if they had cam/mic features and such. Maybe you'd like to give them a try.

Tnx very much, I appreciate it. I think I'm gonna download Trillian and see how it goes.
    Thanks again.

    And I generally dislike AOL...
However, I´m currently using Trillian, mainly because ICQ is bad and has horrible smiley which I can´t stand.
MSN itself is better than Trillian, but Trillian also offers IRC, so currently I use Trillian for ICQ, MSN and the .org chat.
I may have a look into the other 3 suggested messengers though, because Trillian doesn´t seem to upgrade MSN names correctly when changed and isn´t fully compatible with MSN 7.5 yet(read that on their forums) and there doesn´t seem to have been an update for quite a long time.

    Whats the orgs chat???

Anyway, AIM? It's feature list has to be half the size of MSN, but who the hell uses any of that MSN rubbish. Those winks for a start, what the hell are there for lol. But I do use MSN, simply because my friends have it.
