Our genes maybe in the basement but it does not stop us chosing our point of view from the top.

There, but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford

My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.

Cream of Broccoli is one of my favorite soups. Dark green vegetables like that and spinach are excellent for your health. The thing about broccoli is that it does tend to "taint" anything it comes into contact to when it's wet. If you boil it you'll loose a lot of nutrients which you can see when you drain the pot. I'm sure pasta just sucks it up though.

Stage four, we say maybe there was something we could have done, but it's too late now.

Yeah, I believe that Bush Sr. refused to eat broccoli. I prefer plain broccoli served cold and unboiled with no dip. Anything else just messes it up. Broccoli is not the enemy here... Cauliflower is.

Spmetla, how is your tour going?

I'll have to try it in something like curry (as previously mentioned), plain I can't stand. I'm also philosophically inclined to dislike "white" vegetables as the color usually indicates its primary function is that of energy storage and doesn't have the nutrients I want.

When I read the thread title, the first thing to pop into my head was Siamese twins. Hmm . . . maybe we could get a Siamese twins smiley in here?
