In my last game they went after Carthage.
They got beaten everytime but they still tried.
In my last Brutii campaign (my first with v1.5) the Scipii took Africa west of Cyrene, which I'd expected. They also grabbed Sardinia and the Balearic Islands, plus the whole of Spain except for Osca (the Julii got there first). It's the first time I've seen the Scipii expand outside Africa.
Just started a Julii 'rule the world' campaign, and the Scipii have been slow of the mark. Taken Sicily, and Caralis even. Haven't made any attempt at going for carthage yet, and its been 20 or so turns gone.
they will still go after africa but they seem to take a long time over it- much longer thean they used to before they got 'broken'. this might lead to their going into greece and then down through turkey as it gives carthage time to get big enough to repulse them, forcing them to go for an easier and more profitable option. (as carthage is too strong the next most profitable targets are in greece as the greeks and macedonians will be occupied with the brutii)
In my current Julii campaign the Scipii have all of Sicily and are in Africa fighting for Thapsus while I blockade Carthage. Meanwhile, the Brutii are expanding into Greece. This is after about 30 turns I guess.
Time flies like the wind. Fruit flies like bananas.
i have RTW 1.5. once Scipii took over Carthaginians and are now at war with Numidia. It happens some times but rarely. They should make another patch for this!
