If you're willing to put the effort in, you can make a reasonable amount of money. Me, at 17 I could hardly be bothered and did as few houses as possible before being given the elbowIts not enough to live on, but if you're a student or something its not too bad. I did it in summer mind, wouldn't fancy it in winter. You'd be surprised how many people buy their tat.

I worked for Betterware , great job , great bonuses , free alcohol/food , use of the gym , sauna and swimming pools , and the chance to exercise some absolutely amazing thouroughbreds on the gallops .
