    Default Be your own Marius/question

    Hi!

I just figured out how to be able to recruit Imperial Cohorts for my Romani game in 268 BC (I had to, forgive me ) by deleting the highlighted passage (in bold) in export_descr_buildings file:

    recruit "roman legionary cohort ii" 0 requires factions { seleucid, } and building_present_min_level hinterland_reforms_building hinterland_reforms4 and building_present_min_level government_type1 type1lvl2

This is maybe going to be problematic when the real "reform4" comes around, but this is not happening anyway before 102 BC. Although naively I think that even then nothing much should happen.

Question to the community/devs: What kind of hellish consequences could this have on the game that I did not think of? Apart form spoiling the Polybian fun I mean. Is EB bound to crash or be affected in any other detrimental way? Any idea?

(For anybody who likes to do the same, remember to edit this three times in the file, for all three relevant barracks types. And backup the file before you edit anything.)

You'll probably lose the ability to train them when the actual reforms come around. You'll also drastically unbalance the game in favor of the romans. That's about it.
