Yes, I was referring to the siege tower bug when assaulting large stone walls. If you haven't seen it yet it's probably because the AI factions in your campaign haven't progressed far enough to have large stone walls.
Once they do en mass, then it'll put you off actually conducting the siege assaults and make you autocalculate them.

Yup, I don't play RTW as much as BI these days. So my latest campaign hasn't got very far.
Mind you, in BI it's a royal pain in the butt. I usually just build more towers than I need so that it doesn't matter if a couple malfunction.

It's the bug where the towers reach the walls and then your soldiers forget how to climb the tower. They just wander around the base of it getting badly shot up.
Only happens with large stone walls (maybe epic too... haven't had to assault them). Happens with about 1 tower in 4 by my experience.
