How do I auto play the game in order to watch how the factions expand?

add the -ai switch to the target field (accessed by right-clicking the desktop icon and selecting properties).

just add it on the end (leave a space)

"C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\RomeTW-BI.exe" -ai

click Apply and that's it! When you start a game you can select a faction but the AI will take your go for you. Press space and switch off the follow AI to make it go faster.

Thanks Dol Guldur, but I'm trying to do this for a copy(mod) of the BI. I think your instructions were for the original rtw/bi?...

ok..figured it out. I just needed to put the copy bi in the orig rtw/bi ...thanks
